The Toe Valley Soccer Association (TVSA) is reopening our Girls Development Soccer League which is being offered to rising 7th - 12th graders.

The tentative season will start in late August with games played on Sunday afternoon starting on September 12 and running through October 24.

Female players from Avery, Mitchell, Yancey, Madison and North Buncombe Counties are able to register online at http://www.toevalleysoccer.org.  Cost is expected to be around $85 per player. At this time we are preregistering players to determine the number and locations of needed teams. Payment is not required at this time (all players will be put on a wait list) and additional information on team selection and payment will be sent closer to the start of the season.

This league’s intent is to allow middle school and high school players an opportunity to improve on their soccer skills and to allow players between the counties to form friendships.  This league will focus on player development and there will be no scores kept or team standings.

Teams will be formed in each county based on player numbers and be instructed by a licensed coach practicing 1-2 times per week, then playing small sided friendlies (7v7 / 9v9) on a small-sided field with teams from all counties at one location.  Friendlies may be rotated between participating counties through out the season.
